Hi,
I've got an unmodded xbox with a fried retail HD, is a modchip the only solution?
Is it still possible to flash tsop / softmod now?

are you sure it's the hdd?
anyways, your answer would be modchip, cause you cannot access anything of the xbox without hdd.
Install modchip, run it with another new hdd, flash bios, use a disc like AID or XED and go on with your xbox modding life, just don't install softmods when your chipped, that's not smart _________________ Xbox v1.1
