My chipped xbox recently went and died on me, and while I get the cash together to fix it - I tought I'd get my Unchipped Live Xbox softmodded for the time being.
A friend of mine has done this for me before - but this time is seems hes messed up!.
Using a Game Save and Splinter Cell he easily installed UnleashX and all was fine, until he wanted to test the shadow drive it installed. He deleted a file (dont know waht it was!) sure it would come back on a reboot - It didn't. He then went on to remove the softmod in oreder to reinstall to get the file back. When he starts to reinstall a Failed Error comes up asking to rename something. I know its long-winded but does any body have any experience with this softmod or ideas how I can fix the softmod

Cheers for the reply. I don't know what file he deleted, he said he was deleting a file which the XB didn't need. Don't know if your familiar with this way of modding the XB but got to the screen where is asks wahat Nk file to load (I think it was nk - to do with the size of hard drive) and when you go past this to begn the install it comes up with this problem
ERROR : BATCH FAILED
ACTION : RENAME
I presume some files are still on the hard drive from the first install of the hack but dont have a clue what ones.
Cheers everyone - i managed to sort it by deleting everything off the xbox- getting hold of another retail xb a ftp the files from that across and then restarting the softmod process - seems to work now and hope it will continue too
