I'm a beginner . I read everything I could and then I found out about the Auto Installers .
I have both : Xbox-Hq EvoX Auto-Installer v1.3 Final
and the Slayers auto evox v2 6 .
I need to know if those are everything I need ? Which one is Better ? Newer ?
I only have the CHIP (spider) and the XBOX (1.6b) , and basically I have nothing else besides those Auto installers.
How do I install them ? is it like in PC , I put the CD and it does everything automatically ?
Will it install the BIOS ?? which one ?
Will I have the EVOX dashboard installed already as a default ? (loads automatically )
Please help with ANYTHING you know about those installers.

I used Slayers 2.6 myself although from what I am being told, even the 2.6 has slightly older apps than the auto install available here. Slayers sets up everything right off the bat. Includes both Slayers and Avalauch dashboards. It's pretty slick and made my mod real easy. Xbox HQ is just about to launch a new auto installer deluxe that is supposed to be fully kick a$$! for the 1.6b you are going to need the m8 plus bios, not sue if any of the autoinstallers have it yet, slayers defo won't.
Best bet is flash the bios yourself, but us the Ai for installing apps, evox etc, basically you are given a menu for installing/formatting different things etc

So basically I need to install the CHIP , then install the M8_16.bin BIOS from a CD , then insert the SLAYER Auto install CD and from there I will get a MENU to choose the APPS I want and it will install them automaitcally to my HD ??
Am I close ?
Should I replace the HD (120gb) just after I install the BIOS ?
How will it be formated ? Partiotned ? with the AUTO INSTALLER of just the BIOS ?
Will it create the EVOX as a default DASH BOARD ? (loads first automatically) or should I do it myself somehow ?
Any RISK I should be careful with ? ( "1.6b XBOX should be installed on with care")

You have it down correctly but since at least Slayer will allow you to format the drive during the installation why not stuff the drive in too? I did that and it worked like a charm. And yes, Slayers will set the default dash if you wish it to.

Both AI's will format and prepare your HD. You can then install your apps with them too. We also have an Emulator Autoinstaller that will allow you to install over 20 emulators on your HD. This is very cool and saves you from having to FTP each Emu in it's proper location. I have used the Emu AI on over a hundred machine and I have never had to mess with an .ini file or anything...it's flawless.
The new installer that is being released via this site, and created by another one of our Admin's here (DJB) is going to be the installers of all installers! It will be probably the most innovative and comprehensive AI in the modding arena. It will handle so many different dashboards, will take care of installing the Emu's and so much more. It has all updated applications and so far the testing has been very promising.
I cannot wait to get my hands on this completed project!

Thanks TheModGod and DJH , I appreciate your help.
I will install the new HD right after I install the CHIP (+BISO) and then install the Auto Installer , Format it and install the APPS.
Is there a spcific way I need to Partition it ? is there any significnat to that ?
Now regarding the BIOS : I founf the M8 which has 2 files there : M8.bin and M8_16.bin . Which one should I use the XBOX 1.6b ? (I would assume it's the M8_16.bin ... by the name ... ).
Anyway - my Xbox HQ Auto installer is a fake ... where can I get the real one ?
Where can I get this great Emulator Autoinstaller ? I've never heard about that .
And most important : When will this NEW INSTALLER will be released and what will be the name ? (and again - how can I get it ..? )
And BTW : do you guys know the SPIDER chip ? is it good ? support all those nice features ?

I think you have the wrong bios, you need the M8+ bios, it must be the plus version for the 1.6b. Not had too many dealings with spiderchips as yet, but the ones I have fitted i have had no probs with.
The auto-installer is in the downloads of this site, how is the one you have fake?

For the 1.6b you will want to flash your chip with the M8 Plus Beta 4.
Then, to format the HD you will use the Format Large HD method that is on the HQ Installer.
Then dont' forget to use the Prepare Large HD (E+F) support.

But, since you are not you can try the usual places. mIRC, file sharing, direct connect, bit torrents....stuff like that.
