when i put movie in i cant get it to load threw the launch dvd why is this anything i can do fix this or is that how its suppose to be

have u got an xbox remote? if not then theres your problem cos its launching it through the default dvd player - the one you need a remote for if as i assume your using a dashboard other then xbox media centre - i reccomend adding xbmc as an app or even as your main dashboard and it WILL boot from that!! wot dashboard are you using and is it a softmod or hard mod??

DVDX v2 is very good also for DVD playback

its a hardmod using evox as a dashboard ican get the movies to play without a remote threw the media center and ihave the a remote but just wondering why when i turn on my xbox and it says launch dvd complex tools games app. and settings it won't launch a dvd but it will launch a cd and video games

If you go into your file browser can you load the default.xbe from there? Are you using compatable media to your dvd drive?

Dvd videos dont have default.xbe files lol.

the "launch dvd" is for launching dvd backups of your games or boot disks...etc...
the easiest thing would to install xbmc as an application.
