Im not sure why you said it needs to be zipped to put it on the ar card xbox saves are folders not zip files and did you put the sid installer on the hdd saves with the game save?

everyfile ive ever downloaded started as a winrar file and unrared into a folder than opened up into 5 or 6 files 4 being zip files----the linix program and the 3 game save installers-- the other files were just text files
the AR program wont let me drop a regular folder it says not a valid xbox save

the action replay software isnt compatible with vista. I've had some problems with it too. try getting a buddy to let you use an xp machine. _________________

Im pretty good with computers and just recently experienced a problem with vista after 3 months of use and its enough to make me want to throw xp back on here so if vista is the problem i will fix it and get in touch with you guys tommorw
Also about FTPing into the xbox does the xbox need to be modded before i can do this and will vista cause problems with this process as well

Yes, the box needs to be modded before you can ftp. You can ftp with no problems between a vista machine and an xbox. If you use action replay to download gamesave files (I use it for roster updates sometimes) You can still use it. All you need to do is ftp to the gamesaves folder and it will be there. Even though you cant see it in Vista. Fortunatly, you can use unleash x to unzip files. _________________

What I mean, is say you download an updated rosdter for NCAA football 08... In xp you could just go to the gamesave folder inside the action replay directory and the gamesave would be there. For some reason with vista, it dosnt show up. If you ftp to the directory you can see it and transfer it. Unleash x is a dashboard, kinda like an os for the xbox. Unleash x can unzip it since you cant do it iun windoze _________________

well i just got rid of vista and reinstalled xp so maybe i will have better luck with everything

Id keep vista around though. Pretty soon everything is gonna be using vista instead of xp. Just like when the switch was made between 98 and xp. _________________
