Hi all, I recently Installed a larger HDD into my xbox and then softmodded it, I previously had the original HDD softmodded. I would like to know if the standard HDD(with the softmod still on) that I removed from my xbox would work in my mate's non-modded xbox. If I installed this HDD would his xbox then be softmodded, I havn't removed any files from the original softmodded xbox HDD. I also have a TSOP flashed xbox if I need to change anything on the original HDD. Thanks

You would need to lock your old hard drive to his system to make it work, but yes you can use it. I believe all the tools you need are in AID2 although I found ldots stuff very usefull as well if you have a pc handy.

http://www.xbox-hq.com/html/xbox-tutorials-31.html get's you part of the way there. Once you are at step 2 and have the bios files you should be able to lock your drive to his xbox.

I assume the goal here is to leave his HD in a 'pure' state?

Hope this helps a little.

boing!

Cheers Boing, that helps a lot. Still gonna research it a bit more as there is a lot to take in. I couldn't find that tutorial when I searched Shocked time to go to the opticians. Peace
