You could use X-DSL which is on AID 2.

You can install it as an application, so you can just check the applications menu in the unleashx dash and it will be there.

Hope that helps...

yer i just tried it and i notcied that that was the one that i already tried beofre, it doesn't work too great for me, wen i run it in low resultution it loads up fine but most of the icons and menus bars i can see cause their off the screen, cause it not set properly or something, so wen i tried running it in a higher resolution - 800 x 600, it just goes to load up and freezes of a yellow screen. why does it do this, does anyone know how i could fix this?

cheers

I wouldn't be asking questions like that, because that is not looked at very nicely. None of the VIPs email out the downloads.

You can however grab Softmod Installer Deluxe 3 as a part of the Auto-Installer Deluxe v2.0 package, check out www.aideluxe.com for more info.

To get back to the original question... :)

The dashboard (Unleash, evo, ava, etc) shouldn't really impact your choice of linux distro.

A good list of options is at http://www.xbox-linux.org/Download

My personal fav is gentooX (Cheers ShallaX) :)

Any of them will boot from Unleash or if you are planning on just using the box for linux you can make linux boot as the dash (just make sure everything works before you take this route).

boing!

Yea I've had a small play with Gentoox Home myself, it is indeed probably the nicest and most complete packages there is for Xbox, Xebian is quite nice also. X-DSL isn't too bad coz ithas the basics.
