I burnt Xecuter 2 bios for on a Memorex CD-RW and put it in my v1.6 XBOX, and i tried to load that cd in the flashing section of SmartxxV2 chip bios, and it wouldnt work. What CD-RW's work on v 1.6 XBOX? Thanks yall.

What up ndizzle. Hopefully your finding the site off the skizzle fashizzle..sorry, couldn't resist.

Actually, it's not the version xbox that determines what the best media to use, but the type of DVD drive you have.

There are three types.

Samsung, reads anything you throw at it
Phillips, more picky
Thompson, extremely fickle.

Here is a little info on what works best. Keep in mind that there are disks that probably arent mentioned here, but this is a good rule of thumb. The only thing that I found innaccurate is my Samsung reads DVD+R's fine.

hey ndizzle,

Just go and buy a couple of really cheap CDRW's.. Make sure they are all different brands... Burn onto each of the CDRW's and try in your xbox..
You will eventually find the one that your xbox likes.. It wont cost much..
