Posted: Sun Mar 12, 2006 6:21 am Post subject: i have a wierd asain screen and i can't get to my dashboard!
i am in need of some major help, i modded my xbox with evox and i was playing on it one day using mods and everything was working fine, and then the next day i turn it on, no disc is in, and disc tray is open, and it goes to this weird screen with a lot of japenese writing on it. and no matter how i start up my xbox, i get this screen, so we tried to install a different back up onto it and nothing still happened. i keep getting this asian screen(no offence to the asian race) and i can't go to any dashboard's to revert back to the original ms dashboard. do you guys have any advice? or can you tell me what to do to fix this?

ok i found out what error code 16 means, but now my biggest problem is, i have to download hq auto installer deluxe and i don't like giving my credit card info out on the web so i can't become a vip member to download it.

Yet, another easy fix... You still have your savegame exploit on the HardDrive, right? You're a good Llamma, so I'm assuming you do. Now follow this advice:
1. Turn on XBox with Eject Button
2. Pop in Exploit game you used to mod (SplinterCell, 007:AUF, or Mechassault)
3. Turn off the system (If the tray is open, it will close)
4. Power the system back on with the Power button.
5. Allow the game to load, then run the save game.
6. Resoftmod.
With dashboard errors (13,14,16,20,21) on a softmod case, usually coldbooting the softmod game will fix this problem. (this is the third time today I've had to post this fix). As long as your Savegame Exploit is available on the HDD, the game will load, and you can resoftmod like a champ. _________________ "That which does not kill you, only makes you stronger."

k cause i can't seem to get a version of the new auto installer deluxe, what was posted above didn't work for some reason. i will try this and see if it works, but so far no games have loaded at all. but splintercell may work since it was the original game i used to mod the xbox

Yeah, the disc HAS TO BE ORIGINAL. Since the box can't load a hacked dashboard, it can't load unsigned code. Hense, you cannot load a burned disc. Simple and clear. The above steps WILL work. Just get a hold of the game you used to softmod. If you're going to STICK to softmods, I suggest you stop by your local gaming store and pick up a copy of that game. You should never be without it. Nuff said. I paid 3 bucks for mine at EBGames. Damned best buy I made before I picked up my chip. I even went out of my way to get a copy of each. Who knows when your friends, family, general passerbys will borrow a game and then you don't have it available.

ok i tried my splintercell and it couldn't load the game what so ever, it can't load any games at all. any other ideas i can try?
