I softmoded a friends xbox, using sid3. Everything worked perfectly but after
some days, he played around in xbox live somewhere. Anyway, when I boot
up the xbox I get these messages: "Xbox live is updating your system", and then "Could not connect". It goes on and on like this.
Trying to boot with tray open doesnt work, it still goes to this screen. I cant start any kind of game or anything like that =/. Is there anything I can do to fix it, for example by using xboxhdm (I dont have the backups on my computer, only on the hdd in the xbox), and if thats the case, how?. Or are there maybe other ways to fix my problem ?

Alright thanks. Any special I should think about when hotswapping?
On the positive side I get to learn what hotswap is and how to do it
