1. If i were to put the xbox fan speed up.......what will be the pros and cons of this?

2. I read that forza motorsport 2 was running at XX frames per second "with the HUD on"..........does this mean that if i were to take off the HUD on a game the frame rates will increase?

I don't know if there are any hardware cons to turning up a fan, other than it gets a bit noiser(sp), i dont think the frames per second will change with HUD up or off??

Cons : Noisier
Pros : Xbox runs cooler, making it more stable.
If and xbox is kept cooler, it will last longer, its basically a computer,
same rules.

p.s.

dont put it in a fridge or anything
Shocked

Also, if you want the speed to stay constant you can cut the black wire on the fan and solder it to a ground point on the motherboard (one of the screw holes). this is called the 12v mod and keeps the fan at full speed 24/7. This way when you change dashes or launch a game, you don't have to worry about the speed of the fan dropping back down to stock (which it does if a game is launched).

you run the risk of moisture if they are even humidity free, it still occurs, you still can possibly fry the xbox.
