1. If i were to put the xbox fan speed up.......what will be the pros and cons of this?
2. I read that forza motorsport 2 was running at XX frames per second "with the HUD on"..........does this mean that if i were to take off the HUD on a game the frame rates will increase?

I don't know if there are any hardware cons to turning up a fan, other than it gets a bit noiser(sp), i dont think the frames per second will change with HUD up or off??

Cons : Noisier
Pros : Xbox runs cooler, making it more stable.
If and xbox is kept cooler, it will last longer, its basically a computer,
same rules.
p.s.
dont put it in a fridge or anything

Also, if you want the speed to stay constant you can cut the black wire on the fan and solder it to a ground point on the motherboard (one of the screw holes). this is called the 12v mod and keeps the fan at full speed 24/7. This way when you change dashes or launch a game, you don't have to worry about the speed of the fan dropping back down to stock (which it does if a game is launched). _________________ "That which does not kill you, only makes you stronger."

you run the risk of moisture if they are even humidity free, it still occurs, you still can possibly fry the xbox. _________________
