No.
A TSOP Flash means to flash your XBOX MOTHERBOARD BIOS..
It has the same affect but you could never play on XBOX LIVE at all this way.
I have never done TSOP FLASHING and nor do i recommend it.

you get the clock errors with both softmod and modchip.. But its easier to fix with a modchip becasue you can boot with a hacked bios to the M$ Dashboard and set the clock again.
