Ok after hrs of trying to get a hotswap to work i decided to try sumfing differnt. Went on Ebay found a board and HD that were a working pair... installed it NP turned the machine on Logo ...looking good. HD Reads and Writtes 4 an age ...get dash up...Looking beeter!!!... try and access any menu Get error 21.. so i cant access the memory menu to get my softmod on or play a game as it crashes out there 2.... any ideas?

ok found the HD To be broke but i have the old disk and now i can do a hot swap. i have a linux disk i boot my pc with and i can rebuild an entire drive and all partitions from scractch but i cant lock it due to not having an eeprom...can i make one or any ideas were i can get sumfing to help me?

ok if your doind a hot swap then it will be locked when your done rebuilding the drive and the power is removed from th4e drive, dont worry _________________ Please post all PC Questions at PC-HQ.com

IF the hdd is bad then you should be getting an error 7. You may be able to do a hotswap.
