Hello, I'm a noob and just finished soft-modding my XBOX with the EvolutionX dash from SID4.5 (nothing else done to it atm). I wanted to install stuff from AID 3.0, but reading several posts, some users seem to be saying that AID 3.0 (or AID 3.01 update) formats their harddrive (there's a mention of one click install but I'm not that knowledgable here). Before I enter potential hazardous territory and risk losing my save games again. I lost my DOA3 saves before when my 1st XBOX dies, and have not really regain what I lost to this day as I can't be bothered redoing it. I have DOA:U save in my harddrive now and I don't want to lose it as it can't be transferred (stupid team Ninja...)! So yeah, people that already do this, does the AID 3.0 installer wiped your harddrive?

Sorry, I might have worded my question wrongly. What I meant is that on the front page that explains the AID 3.01 patch, DJB mentions that several of the programs will delete files from drive E, which is the drive where the save games are. I'm interested in XBMC which he seem indicate to be one of such programs. Will the AID 3.0 do the same (all indication seem to point to a "no" answer, but "try & see" is not a checking method I can use here as trying means a 50% chance of deleted game saves)? If not, it means only AID 3.01 do this. Is there a way to avoid this deletion of save games? Or not installing the update is the only way?

mm never heard of the savegame deletion , and i beta test aid lol
I installed AID 3 and it's fine, although I do have a few moments where I almost panicked (one when I choose to install that dashboard chooser when I have only one dashboard installed and no idea what dashboard files looks like lol). I kinda format my C drive and reinstall MS dash in the process, and installed somewhere around 4 other dash on E: (on top of each other of course ). I finally go back to UnleashX and installs XBMC and that file manager program (man I got bad memory). It runs ok now (after about 3 hours of multiple resets and head scratching) although the E drive is cluttered with unused files from the amount of stuff I install & write over without deleting. Better than deleting something important and killing my XBOX lol.
