HI, I HAVE A SAMSUNG DVD DRIVE IN MY X-BOX PART#SDG-605F AND EVERYTIME I WANT TO OPEN THE THING I HAVE TO HIT THE TOP OF THE X-BOX. I HAVE FOUND OUT WHAT THAT THE MAGNET IN THE DRIVE WONT RELEASE THE CD SPINNER (I THINK) IS THERE A FIX FOR THIS PROB. OR IS IT TIME TO BUY A NEW DRIVE??? IF IT IS TIME TO BUY A DRIVE WHAT DO I WANT. LAST THING CAN YOU PUT A BURNNER IN THIS X-BOX (VER 1.6) THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP..

Dear Mr. LOUD HOWARD, (please take off the caps lock)
What I would reccomend that you do is:
1. Remove your DVD drive from your Xbox and the black plastic drive carrier/mounting bracket.
2. Open the drive by using (or other suitable object) to push in the little white thingy that is uner the right side of the tray.
3. Take off the cover by removing the 4 screws.
4. Get a can of compressed air(DustOff or something similar), and gently blow the dust out of the drive. Be sure to get the underside of the tray too. DO NOT use the compressed air directly on the Laser, there are tiny wires that could be broken quite easily.
5. Check the tray rails to make sure that they are clean and lubricated.
6. Re-assemble your DVD drive and give it a try!
