Hi, i would be very grateful if anyone could please help me i have just had my xbox modded last week using EVO X 393 so i believe which cost me (£50). IT worked fine, but my mate downloaded a slayers disc called Slayers Evo x v2.6 final and decided to install it. Then when i turn the xbox on the next day it is back to its retail version. When i asked him what he did he said something about installing a new upgrade or something Can any one help some how so i can restore it back to the way it was. Any help what so ever will be gratefully welcomed. Thanks Chris

With the retail version (MS dashboard) did you try the reset feature ("Left Trigger", "Right Trigger", "Back", & "Black" at the same time)? If that is the case all you need to do is run xbwatch and that will fix your problem to bypass the ms dashboard. Try that and let me know.

hi , thanks alot for your post. I tried what you said about doing the left trigger, right trigger, back,back. But all that happens is that it asks me to reset the clock and then just does the same. Do you think i have to totally get evox reinstalled again and if so could you please tell how or where to find out. Many Thanks Chris

First off do you have a softmod or a chip...also in the meantime I suggest downloading aid 3 since slayers is verrrrrrrrrrrry outdated.....Do you have a larger hdd...try to immitate what I have in my signature...later. _________________ Xbox V1.6

hi, in reply to ur last post i long got the xbox last week and got it modded. I believe that it is softmod as the seal at the bottom of the box is still intact. I am very new to all this stuff and so am not 100% sure about everything. Thanks Chris

If it's a softmod, it would appear that the friend must have reverted the files back to original retail. You may be able to recover if you can read disks that are not originals but I suspect that you can read retail disks only. You might do as previously suggested and download AID 3 (it has files for both chipped and softmodded xboxes). Once burnt, see if the Xbox will read the disk, otherwise it sounds as though the mod has been removed by someone that really shouldn't have messed with the box in the first place. _________________ http://twitter.com/HQ_Shark2th
