I heard there was a way to format your f drive for an extra 2 gigs. i've done some research and it seems this is possible but every tutorial I've read has used a mod chip. I used SID 4.0 N KNave edition and AID 2.11. CAn someone give me a tutorial or a website?

Just pop on your AID disk, and find the option format F. _________________

Are you sure its that simple? I heard something about it only working on certain versions.... What if i do format it then would i be able to replace the HDD later?

on retail hdd ONLY segagate works . do u see on unleashx f 0 or free???? if so then u can formate simply by going on ux file explor and highlight F then on the drop down list should be an formate AND PRESTO btw u can also use xed or aid if u dont have UX U DONT NEED NO DAMN chip!!! _________________ Xbox 360 Premium edition

it wouldnt let me make an f....so in my xbmc it says f:0 does that mean i can do this?

im guessin u didnt FULLY understand what i said... if u cant see F on ur file explore then that means u DONT have a segagate hd ... ok we can do this 2 ways open xbox THAT WILL TELL U EVERYTING or run unleah x go to file manger or explore... and u should be able to see ur F if u dont then u dont have F if u do then just click on F or hightlight it then bring the drop down list and click on formate IT ONLY TAKES 5 SECONDS these are the hds they make for xbox western digital =wd 8 gb segagate = 10 gb smansung = 8gb and that is all i can think off... remember opening it VOILDS soposed warranty BUT warranty is only 3 montsh so open it and look @ it and it should clearly say that... _________________ Xbox 360 Premium edition

ok the one in my box is only 8 i believe but i have a seagate from my broke xbox....so im gonna have to figure out how to use that....and i guess id have to install sid4 all over again....

Ok so u fixed ur issue about the 2 extra gbs.. I KNOW WHERE THIS IS GOING TO a broken xbox hd is going to another issue AND ALL THAT JUST FOR 2 EXTRA gb??????? ur better off buying BIGGER hd then do xboxhdm1.9 .. its sooo very very simple i can even walk u throught it.. ( that is what i did ) and if u never been on xbox live then u can use sid4 to have dual boot that way u can go to live on retail mode and everying goes fine.. THAT IS WHAT IM DOING i have a 8gb wd hdd and i bought me a 200gb ( staples maxtor 200gb 7200rpm 8mb buffer and its not true of running hotter or noiser IN FACT i loved it this way oem hd is shit period .... the sale is current on $89.99) and along with a sid4 dual boot = retail totaly safe 4 live .. i bee on 1 month and no ban... it takes M$ 6 hrs to find out.. u need pc for this and ftp and a will to do it ... _________________ Xbox 360 Premium edition

i am getting a bigger hd but i thought since i had a seagate i might as well toss it in for now....but maybe ill just wait

yeah its not even worth a damn effort to see if hdd will work w/box then u got unlocking relocking with eeprom and so on.... U DID KNEW THAT U CANNOT JUST POP IN THE NEW 1 ON UR CURENT XBOX right???? im if u didnt knew this .. cuz ur xbox marrys ur hd and ur motherboard.. SO GET THE HD AND LET ME KNOW .. i recommend maxtor ... u have to find a hdd that is locable unless u have a chip WHICH I DONT RECOMMEND to get a chip... that staples promo is good right now..

im in canada though so that sale doesnt apply.....but i know where to get a 200 gig for 115 so im good....

so get ur pocket read then hd and ur will and dont write back til u r ready.. k? ill wait here... or pm when ur ready... get flasfxp and necerary cables to connec ur xbox.. if going to router then u need any cat5 or so cables if directly to pc then u need cross over.. _________________ Xbox 360 Premium edition
