hi i just recently learned about x-box modding, i know im sad. but i need help. i wanna do it myself. which chip is the best to use? also i heard that you can only use 140 gbs in the xbox regardless of the size of the hard drive is this true? i'd appreciate any help. thanks!

Well I hear Xenium ICE Is pretty good and seemingly popular, and the answer to the second question you can put more than 140 gig into an xbox. _________________

The Xenium ICE is a very good chip for the price. It's an easy install also. The solderless option takes less than 15 mins even for a noob.
Check what version you xbox is. If it v1.0-1.4 then you'll want to go with the ICE. If it's a v1.6 then you'll need the SP.Ice package.

how can you tell which xbox version you have? and is there anything you need to do in order to use a hard drive over 140 gbs?
is there any type of walkthrough for the entire process including the ftp part? thanks.

ok on the modchip thing im not soo good but why u wanna hit it off with a chip??? cuz maybe u dont even need a chip depending on what u wanna do ... it all depends on what kind of hdd u running if for say u wanna do 200gb then u need lba48 ... i certainly think softmod is easier period.... _________________ Xbox 360 Premium edition
