Hey man...real sorry but I never recieved your PM....one thing I always forget to do is put something in the subject area....maybe that is what you did.....or i would have replied back to you that day.....anyways...what bios did you put onto your box.....256 M8+?....I really don't know why it would stop working but my guess is that possibly since you used slayers they were old programs built for an old bios.....could be wrong though....there is a way around loosing all your games though if you decide to update everything with aid 2.11.......you could transfer all your games to lets say your f drive then reformat c and e and reinstall all apps and dashboards to c while not touching f....also, as stupid as it sounds....when you go into your dashboard settings you have f and g drive enabled...well actually what size is your hdd....dont worry man we will get this straightened out...later. _________________ Xbox V1.6

Well, I am back again with no luck on playing my back-up games from the hard drive. Let me give a quick review on what is going on. I have a v1.6 xbox with a 200gb HD. My friend who is in Iraq right now, did me the kind favor of installing the Exenium Ice chip in my box and putting the Slayers Atuo-Installer on there. I was able to back up my games on the hard drive and play japanese animation on the box until I found out that my xbox did not have the Evox to launch. I flashed my chip with a Evox M8+v16 bios and I thought everything was back to normal. I was wrong...I was able to launch the Evox dashboard again but when I went to play games on hard drive, it came up blank. Now I do know that I have the games on the F: partition but for some odd reason I am not able to get the list back up or be able to back up any games for that matter. Yoshie1 did give me a good reply which I am going to look into but one question I do have is this...I do not know which Slayers Auto- Installer my friend put on there but me putting a new bios on the chip, would that mess up my apps being applied? Shouldn't I still be able to run all my programs like before? Please help and thanks.

Hi marroquin73,
Sounds like you need to edit your EVOX.ini which is on your XBOX C:\drive normally.
Edit evox.ini and look for this rough line of code:

AutoAddItem "e:\games";
Something like that anyway.. You just want to copy that line and add it like this:
once you do that and save your evox.ini your evox menu will automatically serch those folders when the xbox starts and put all the stuff into the folders..
another tip.. If you havent used Auto Installer Deluxe.. get it.. Its way better then slayer and will setup all this for you automatically!

I have to say sorry in advance because I have a lot of questions.
I your reply you said I had to edit ny evox.ini and look for a line of code. Do I have to do this on the computer or can I do this of the Xbox i.e. system management?
I took your advice and got the AID 2.11 and after many unsuccessful burns, oddly, I was able to get a good burn on a Office Depot DVD+R. Anyway, I popped it in my box and I get the initial screen. Here is the scarry part. I want to download all the apps. but I do not want to lose the back-up games that I have on my HardDrive in the F: partition. All I want to do is install a dashboard and the apps. so I can peacefully play my back-up games, download, and watching Naruto or bleach that I downloaded from a bittorrent with the region free DVD player.
If it seems that I am lost, I am but I went from not knowing nothing about the mod chips and bios to getting the bios back on the chip and it thanks to all you people out there. Take care and I hope to here from you soon.

To edit your .ini file you will need to ftp to your xbox and do it via the computer.
As far as adding the applications and dashboards. I don't see why you couldn't do that and not lose your games, just make sure you do not do a reformat harddrive option. You might want to wait out for somebody to give you a definite answer though for that. _________________ XBOX- V1.0

Yes you have to edit on your pc.. You need to copy the file to your pc and open in notepad or somthing and edit.. Always keep a backup..
Another tip:
If you install a dashboard using AID it should fix this for you..
Just install EVOX DASHBOARD onto your xbox and hopefully bam..

AIDeluxe DOES NOT format your hdd or erase.. It only copies files over.
You have to choose FORMAT if you want to lose your entire hdd contents..

I want to thank everybody that gave me advice to get my xbox running again. Everybody who has helped knows what happened to my xbox. All I had to do is Flash my xbox with the Evox M8+v16 Bios and then after that all I had to do is install the Auto-Installer-Deluxe 2.11. That, I must say, is a god send. I was able to istall the evox dash and there it was all my games that I was able to play again. I also installed a couple of applications that I thought was cool. Again, I want to say THANKS TO ALL OF YOU. I hope I can help others as well. Take care.
