I am new, and am up to the point that I have XBMC installed and can navigate through it, but have not been able to open any files. I have flashed the bios with CD-RW so I know that my Xbox reads those and loaded Auto Installer Deluxe with a DVD-R so I know it reads those as well. But now from XBMC, when I try to watch an AVI file, play a backed up game, it just says DVD is empty? Is there a way to verify things are working? Can I listen to music, view a picture anything? Also if I am trying to watch an AVI file (or a music CD), do I have to burn it as an Xbox iso like with Qwix? Also if yes, do I need to included a dummy file to bring it over 100mb? Thanks for any help, I am getting closer...I think!

What I would do is try and transfer some AVI, MP3, or game files over to your box and see if they work that way. If they do, you might have something wrong with your dvd-rom drive. Try that and let us know.

OK, so I figured out how to FTP files over, I dropped them in the e drive, put a MP3 in the music folder, an AVI in the videos and a ISO game in the games folder, when I am in file manager I can see all 3 files are on the Xbox, but they are just in E drive not in the specific folders? When I sellected each one of them, only the MP3 worked, it played fine. The avi and iso did nothing? Any ideas? Also with AID I installed XBMC and Evox, now I can't figure out how to get back to XBMC, it just boots to Evox? Also if it helps, with AID I did "prepare retail HDD", I did not do the format retail HDD, do I need to do that as well? Sorry for all the ?'s.
Thanks
