I boot into the evox screen and I can't do anything else.
I have the aid 2.11 installer burned to 3 dvd's and I can't do anything.
WTF Do I do?

Can you boot up AID 2.11? If so just install Apps/Emulaotes/Dashboards with that and you will be on ur way to a modded box.

no thats the problem.. nothing will boot.
I tested an audio cd and it just says "executing" but nothing plays, and I have to turn the power off to exit the "executing" screen.
and when I load up the 2.11 dvd nothing happens at all - i see "launch dvd" and I press buttons but nothing happens.
I can get into other areas fine.

Can you boot original games? I'm not softmodder so I can't help much more. Wait for SJohn or Pirrup (they know about these things)

hah, I don't have any original games - I just bought this to mod it for use as an xbmc.
I think i'm screwed.

No way are you screwed, I here about things like this everyday. But...Ican never be bothered to actually pay attention and learn the fixes as I'm not a softmodder.

Lets back up. First, what exactly do you get when you boot your XBox with no CD/DVD in the drive? I assume you are now getting the EvoX dashboard? Per that, I assume you ALSO used a softmod exploit to install a new dash and apply the softmod?
Ok, now, what happens when you boot your XBox (what version is it btw) with AID 2.11 Final in the DVD drive (also, is it burned on a CD-RW or a DVD+R)?
Try to lead us through exactly what you see and where you are so we can help you.

yeah, I'm sorry this is vauge.. but there hasn't been much to it so far.
which just had me do some hotswapping and a linux distro etc etc.
I can boot into the evox (i'm guessing thats what it is) menu and I have a few options:
Launch DVD
Trainers
Reboot
(reload - can't use this - its orange)
Power Off
System Utils
Launch Menu
Nothing happens when I click on the launch DVD.
When I go into Launch Menu I get 2 options Apps and GAmes - both are empty.
I then downloaded this:

Burned it to DVD - popped it into my xbox and nothing happens.
When I put in an audio CD - it goes into this flash "executing" message but nothing happens, no music - and I have to turn the power off to get out of the message.
Thats it so far.

With no DVD in there I get the same menu -
Top right corner says "Project mayhem"
and I see evolution (x) - with a small red x.

I think my cd drive is busted - and I just bought this too!
I was able to get xbmc loaded up via FTP
damn' so no games -
