Post subject: Rebuild HD with corrupt backup

I have an XBOX ver1.0 that was softmoded. The HD died and I tried to replace it using xboxhdm 1.9 and the backup from the F drive. I found some files in the backup/ms folder are corrupt. Is there a way to rebuild the HD using xboxhdm and a dashboard like evox or unleashX or even MS? I still have the eeprom.bin and the hdinfo.txt files
TIA

Hi,

you say the retail hdd died so you replaced it..
Can you boot backup games or original games??

If you can boot original games you could reinstall the softmod using SID (softmod autoinstaller).. Heres the official website: http://www.aideluxe.com

hopefully with the new hdd installed even thought some files are missing on the c: drive you should be able to reinstall the softmod and then from there you can use aidlue to reinstall all of the missing M$ dashboard files.

anyway, i hope ive been some help.

last thing.. i just remembered reading about a HOTSWAP tutorial by a admin here called pirrup.. go search in the xbox tutorials section and search for "hostwap" or "recover".
