for some reason all my games that have the "live" feature dont work all other games that dont have it work fine i tried turning of the mod chip (Xenion) but has the same effect i dont know what to do to get these games to work again. please help

I have my modchip on all the time and could still access XBOX LIVE if i wanted to get banned.. lol
What bios are you running???
anyway, the more info the better.. Im sure its just something small wrong.
ok ill give a complete rundown and maybe you tell me what i did wrong.
first i replaced my hdd with a 80gig hd so i used the setup wizard built in the Xenium chip wich formats it and transfers all the files to it from the old hdd. it went well and did not give me any errors then i took out the original and put the new hdd in and booted and locked it. it works fine and doese every thing its supposed to do but when i try to load a game that is xbox live equiped like burnout 3 it wont load the main menu sreen for that game but when i load a game not equiped with xbox live it boots normally and works great. and if i put the old hdd back in it i have no problems at all with it. PLEASE HELP!!!!

if the old drive works fine i would install the old drive..
Then ftp into the old drive and copy all the C:\ drive contents including E:\ to your pc..
Then install your new xbox hdd (larger) and ftp the files back accross.
Just make sure you have a backup of everything too.
It sounds like you are missing some files from the xbox c drive on the larger hdd.. It could also just be a cacheing problem..
ok i just tried it the way you said and i got the same results i was wondering if it could be my hdd but im not sure. i just cant think of anything else that wouldmake this not work right is there a special brand or anything. i have a seagate 80gig hdd and it can be lockeck because i can lock it in the chip settings.

when copying from your xbox, are you using the ftp client within xbmc?
I read recently that there is a bug in the ftp client that losses data.
I was losing loads of programs to this gremlin and didn`t know why,
im using the Core FTP Lite program to transfer my files.

its the Xenium Chip from teamexudus it has a wizard to to upgrade the hdd biult into the chip but the same thing happened when i tried to do it that way too

ok update here i decided that maybe the hdd was currupt so i went out and bought a 160gig drive that is supposed to work with this thing and once again the same stupid thing happens i cant play games that have the live feature but games that dont have it work fine. please note i dont even have a xbox live account nor am trying to get one either i just want to play my games please someone help there has to be something i can do this is very fustrating.

I had this same problem when i upgraded from my 120 to 300 hdd using the xenium upgrade wizard. When I would load up a game like halo 2 or something like that it would just freeze at the intro screen and not do anything else. I think it was DJB or Modgod that told me to ftp the working files to my computer and then ftp back. That would have taken me a ton of time so instead I just reinstalled the games onto the new hdd. Kinda sucks but it worked. I was using 2.0.1 so maybe 2.3.0 or whatever it is has a new fix for that bug but that is what happened to me. It had nothing to do with the type of hdd I was using. ok i tried to load the game onto my hdd and tried to run it there but same stupid thing. I contacted the guy i got the xbox from and he told me that he had xbox live and installed the auto updater and used these programs on a daily basis while he told me he delected these programs i have to wonder if this is why im having problems let me know if any of you know anything about xboxlive because i dont know anything about how it works. for all i know he could have upgraded the dash and thats why it wont work because it has a security thing now. (Microsoft is retarded like that yknow).
