Well, okay, here goes.
I got linksbox, the latest version, and I love it. It worked for me once I finally figured out how to do the network settings. Anyway, is there any way I can have my PC off and still browse the net? Since my dad does not allow me on the computer often, I decided to DL Linksbox. IT works like a charm, except I guess I have to have my PC on from a tutorial I reaad. I have a cable modem and a switch, and getting ethernet cords is not a problem. How can I still be able to browse the net on my xbox with my PC off?

if your switch/router has any avalible ports you can connect to one of the LAN ports... other than that if you are getting an internet connection through a PC it must be runing in order for you to get an internet conection to your xbox.

yea if your xbox still has internet connection with the pc off it should be np. i not sure exactly how a switch works though. i have mine through a router

Okay...Well...
I need to know...I can connect through the switch with my XBOX in like the xbox live DASH, but with the Linksbox, what DNS servers, gateway, and all this shit should i set in the EvoX network settings? I tried setting the IP to non-static and restarted my modem, but nothing works. What should I change in the EvoX menu so that it gains internet access through the modem>switch? Or, if need-be, I can directly connect to the modem. But, if I do THAT, what should I set in the network settings menu? Reply fast I gotta get off in a bit
