I'm trying to finish modding a friends xbox. He has the identical xbox I have right down to the 160 hard drive. The chip went in fine all we had to do was upgrade the hardd rive. I put new drive in as slave and strapped the original drive as master. Went into upgrade wizard in xenium menu did it. Put new drive in as cabel select and booted to auto installer. Everything went fine untill we tryed to use DVD2xbox to back up a game.It looked like it was working but it wasn't copying. He figured something went wrong with the install and redid the auto installer again. Did the same thing. I had a bright idea to try to copy my drive to his and I think I just made things worse. Now his drive will not come up at all nor will it unlock for me to start from scratch. Is there a way to get the new drive back to new out of box format? If this was for a computer I could del part it , fdisk it and I'm good to go. Need major help

What I dont understand is if you have the AI why did you go through the entire HD swap thing, unless you were trying to xfer over games too?
The AI will format and install all of your applications perfectly.
Once you have your hacked bios flashed to the Xenium Ice, go ahead and pop the AI into the DVD Drive.
Boot the hacked bios from the launch items menu. At the main menu with the AI select "Format Prepare HD"
First, format large HD.
Then, you need to prepare the HD. What this does is add certain folders to different partitions that have been formatted. If you have a bios that gives you a C, E, and F drive, then you will also want to select, "Prepare F drive".
If you have a bios that gives you the G drive too, then you want to select, "prepare G drive" also.
Once you have your HD reformatted and prepared, now go to Install Dashboards.
First, install MS Dash.
Next, go to, "Install Hacked Dashboards'
Choose install dashboards to C
Then, pick your poison. Evox 3935 is a good starter dash. Make sure you select the proper support based on your partioning. ie: E+F, or E+F+G
Now time to install the applications.
You will be installing your apps to F drive
Next, emulators will also be installed to F.
Now, lock your drive....
Done

So I can copy all my drive and put it in his xbox? Right now the problem is the new drive will not unlock. I get an error when I try to use upgrade wizard. _________________ Xenium Ice 2.0

Put the hard drive that is "locked" into the box with CS (only this hard drive), now boot the AID, there is an area (under settings or run programs from AI) to unlock the hard drive.
TMG, maybe you can explain that one better, I've never had a problem with my hard drive getting locked, nor so I lock them, as I have no need to lock it.

Generally a locked harddisk will only work correctly on the computer which locked it. You would have to unlock the disk in the machene that you copied from, then put it in the other machene, then you lock it.

I got it fixed, well kinda. My buddy's new drive got lock from my xbox therefore I couldn't unlock it in his eventhough the 2 xbox's are the same down to the version and mod chip. Once I figured that out, I was able to unlock it, redrive wizard it with old drive and Install auto installer. Everything was going fine untill I tryed to use DVD2xbox again. I looked like it was copying but it wasn't. Well guess what , I'm a dumb shit, you have to enable the drive in order for it to work. Some how I missed the BIG SETTINGS button and I've waisted 2 freeking days messing with this black brick. I enable it and it backs up like a champ. The only thing that still is a puzzel, when I used drive wizard with the old drive . I lost 23 gig on the new drive. I told it to make F: G: drive (160 gig) it put 4 on e: 123 on F: and 0 on G: For right now he can live with it.
