Is it possable to use the chip in my v1.5 xbox to get both my older xbox's modded up? i'd like to use the retail hdd's as i only really want XBMC on them.
i've began on one of them and have it sucssesfully got it fraging away now (even though i Had it doing the xcuter2 logo popping up thing then stock dash, it even booted an emu disc). i have been reading bits and pieces about being able to flash the xboxs own bios, allowing for the chip to be removed (and put back into my 1st modded xbox)
my freinds dont have chips in theirs, I've looked. my freind says the bloke had the chip hanging out the box and when he was done he just cut the wire (he insists their was only 1 wire

Yes, you could remove the chip from your machine to mod your other machines. As long as they can all run off of the same bios, if not you may have to flash an available bank with the proper bios for the other machine(s). But, once they are chipped and HD's have the apps you want, of course those apps won't work once you remove the chip and put back into the other machines, so you will have three machines with mod files, but only the machine that has the chip in it will be able to run the files.

You could always try softmodding the other machines, taking out the need for a chip but I am not real keen on softmodding so I don't know much about it.

I'd need a switch on all three D0's and an easyly available pin strip for the chip.
maybee a neogeo joystick port would work with a bit of this and that.
i got two spare ones,

Sir, Lord, His Highness, The Modgod, when you flash a chip are we flashing the one in the mod chip or the one on the xbox?
can a pc be used to do this?

Oh gawd, he'll never be the same! He may still be able to mod Xboxes but his head WILL NOT fit through a door. Laughing
