I just purchased another xbox off ebay. It was softmodded with EvoX as the dash and has a 60GB hard disk. This was done via a hotswap and xboxhdm according to the seller.
I have AID 4.0 burnt to a DVD that boots fine.
The xbox is a V1.0(0a)
Bios 4034 Retail.
How would I go about changing this to the XBMC dash?
I tried doing this with my other xbox and every time it rebooted I got an error 25.

U cant get past a error 21, and if i were you i would get AID 4.01 because it had a few bug fixes. _________________

I've got 4.01 downloading right now actually.
I dunno why I typed error 25, it was error 20 (Dashboard failure)
After the disaster with my other box I was just wondering if mabye AID didnt work properly with softmods other than the game exploit mods.

if someone could tell you how to get your box to boot to the E drive instead of C, then you would just install your dash on the E drive, but i dont know how to do that with a softmod...only a chipped box, cause you can jsut change the bios.

Gonna need to go into AID, Format the C:\ ONLY. Then install the MS dash and your error should be fixed. Then softmod the xbox with SID 5.01 then go for other dashs. _________________

Cant even get it to boot AID. I've decided its his problem to worry about, lol. I have enough xbox issues of my own (own 6 now and only 3 are running).
