ok i got a new dvd drive on its way but i need to put AID on my hard drive now can i unpack the ISO. and FTP it in? I know the guide said you cant just drop the iso on the hard drive and thats a no brainer but it dosent say anything about extract and ftp?

if you FTP it over as is then none of the links will work as the root config.xml is configured to point to the D drive. However,

look on the AID disc and in the folder

config\AID

you will see E, F or G

ftp the AID over to the xbox and replace the root config.xml with the file from the folder which corresponds to where you FTP'ed the AID to.
Eg if you put it all on E then select the file from the E folder Wink

Not that it wold be used alot but thay need to think about putting a guid on the aid disc for ftp setups.

I do tend to over look things so i may just need to read closer.

I do need to extract it first right?

it is in the GUI. On the AID menu there is an option to install to HDD. you pick either E F or G and AID copies and loads the appropriate file. Wink

Yes use Qwix to extract the AID ISO. Qwix will extract the files directly to the xbox if you want to, its then just a matter of putting in the correct file Wink
