Hi I'm using the latest auto installer deluxe from this forum
With XBMC as my dashboard.
Is it possible to update just xbmc when its a dashboard.?
And if so how please?

I used to ftp xbmc when i used evolution x as dashboard
but now I got xmbc as dashboard not as an app i dont know where to ftp xmbc

are u softmodded or hardmodded?
If your softmodded pop AID in go to the Dashboard Section, and choose what drive and all, then go to the VERY bottom you will see XBMC(SOFT) and XBMC(SOFT DHCP)
If your are hardmodded, do the same except you dont have to choose one with (SOFT) next to it as those are for softmods and HAVE to be used for softmods!!!!

Hard modded , I have xbmc installed from the latest AID but as xbmc is being updated all the time i just wondered if it was possible and if so how to upgrade xbmc dashboard or does this only work if you have xbmc as a app?

If you have avalaunch on the xbox then you can go to the network settings and download the newest stable build of xbmc it will put it in your e drive so if you run off your f drive just use file manager to move it...

here's how i did it.
1. I Ftp (new)XBMC over to a backup folder i made in my F drive.
2. pop in the Aid disk then when it's loaded use the file explorer to remove the XBMC (dash) folder from E drive, then put the new one from the backup file i made in F drive. DONE
(i used the Aid disk cos you can't move the dash files wile you are running them)
BUT THIS WORKED ON A SOFTMODDED XBOX WITH SID 4.5 INSTALLED.
not shure it all work on a Hardmodded Xbox... _________________
