i could really use any help,
While flashing my x2.6CE chip on my v1.0 xbox, i flashed both banks with x2 build 4978.03_512k.
i think i flashed it rite, cause the rox my box logo comes up, but then it goes rite into the orignal xbox screen. that is when my mod chip is enabled. when the mod chip is disabled, i get an error screen telling me my xbox needs service, with a large number 5 in the top left corner, and i cant seem to reflash with flashbios.
ive heard of way of reflashing by buying a programmer or something, but before i spend more money i wanna see if somebody can help me, because i dont even know if i flashed it right.

Sounds like you flashed it right.
The reason for the error 5= HD not locked. Not a problem. Just lock the HD.
If you have AID 3.10 you can install the dashboard of your choice. The torrent is available for download on this site.
the problem is that with both of my banks being x2.4978 i cant flash. after the x2 logo shows, it goes into the orignal xbox screen, and then says "this xbox disc is stratched or dirty" or something like that, so i dont think i will be able to reflash.
