alright so here i am thinking bout trying to hotswap my xbox.... i have it all set up as master and I have my cd burnt and ready to go in my cdrom... i get to the main menu and select option 1... i get this message saying "you passed an undefined mode number"
Then i press space to continue.....
and then it runs through the screen saying some sort of error over and over and over...
then i can't do ne thing for awhile until it says that it was timed out...
now im at the screen saying because I am such a nice guy etc... i type "xboxhd" and hit enter
and finally it comes to the screen saying: this script assumes /dev/hda is the device to be used for creating or rescueing an xbox harddrive. No disk drive found on /dev/hda (primary master) !! Shotdown, connect a drive and reboot
NOW!!! can someone help me out with this??? could it be that my computer is a POS and wont' let me hotswap or am I just doing something wrong here?! please someone help me

Do you have it on your primary IDE channel as well as master? Pages and pages of errors means that the HDD is no unlocked. Gotta keep trying until it works. _________________ Hotswap|HDD Upgrade|X3 Guide

alright so my HDD just isn't getting unlocked... if it didn't go by so damn fast I could read what kind of error it is... but you are pry right bout that, my HDD isn't getting unlocked... what's the easiest way to unlock the HDD? i read ur hotswap tut and if you could help me out via aol or msn or something that would be awesome..

alright i finally got this stuff to work haha. i had my xbhdm set up wrong... I had several files in the eeprom folder and thats why I wasn't able to unlock my HDD. just need that eeprom.bin file in your eeprom folder and ur ms dash files in the C folder... but ya, i got this stuff to work now im ready to mod up my box and hopefully not have any problems haha
