As for instruction on how, sorry, I don't have them or know of where. It will really be more trouble than its worth, and may do nothing but cause further issues. You may need to resign your self to having to use the modchip.

you don't really have to get a different xbox... just flash one of the banks with the retail MS bios. Then, when you want to play on live, go at it that way. If I remember correctly, this works flawlessly. _________________ "That which does not kill you, only makes you stronger."

The MS bios is 1mb, so if your using 3294 in banks 1-4, you'll only be able to have it in banks 5-8, so no other bios.

Not that you need one with 3294
Hell yeah dude... I'll try it out here soon when my buddy stops playing the damn thing.
I'm gonna flash the 5713 on banks 5-8... Is this a good version to use or does it really matter?

I get the same problem... bummer.... I tried 3944, 4034, 4132, 4627, 5530 and 5713. None of them worked, i had the same problem as always.

I got it to work!!!!!! I had to use 5838 which is a 256KB bios. I noticed that there was a readme with the 5838 and decided to read it. It said that is was taken from a 1.6 box (US) with Xcalibur chips. And I thought to myself... thats what I have.... maybe I should try that one. So I flashed it to bank 5 and it works great!
Now to see if xbox live works
