My xbox is a verion 1.6, i have installed the soft mod with no problem. What my problem is, I cannot get the AID V 2.11 disk to boot. Do I need to install on of the dash boards first or can i just install the soft mod and boot to that disk.

Depending on the softmod, but you should be able to just boot to it.
i wouldn't use 2.11 though, try downloading 3.0, update it to 3.04 and burn that. _________________ Hotswap|HDD Upgrade|X3 Guide

I am downloading the new version now. I am using SID 3, would that cause the AID 2.11 not to work.

No, its shouldn't be any issue. When you burn the new one use good medai(I recommend memorex DVD-R) and burn at the lowest possible speed. _________________ Hotswap|HDD Upgrade|X3 Guide

Does evox even detect that there is a disc in the drive? Do you get an error? Have you tried a different dashboard? Can the xbox play other backups? _________________ Hotswap|HDD Upgrade|X3 Guide

no error, don't have any other back ups here, with disk in it just boots to evox dashboard. It will play a retail game the way it is supposed to.

I have the samsung dvd in the xbox, used memorex dvd +r and i burned at 4x

It might be the way you are burning it that is causing problems. What program, settings etc. are you using to burn the AID .iso. I would recommend using DVD Decrypter, which comes with AID 3.0. _________________

Sucess at last, I brought my box back to retail state, started over, and slowly went step by step and presto, it works. Thanks for all of the help, although i could need more because chimp is next.
