Over the past day I have managed to softmod my Xbox using AID 3. I have a router, managed to get FTP working, have copied a game to the Xbox HD, shot it across the network to my PC and made a backup dvd.

Whew.

Is there an easier way to do all this? I would love to just put the game in my PC dvd tray and make the copy all on the computer.

Is there a way to do that? Qwix?

I softmodded my Xbox. I still have the stock HD. How games will it hold? 2 or 3?

I'd rather not have to do FTP at all. Make a backup wholly on my computer.

Ideally, your best bet would be to invest in a bigger HDD. No more huge FTPs, DVDs etc.

Just my 2 cents, anyway Wink

Fine, but that still involves a FTP'd Xbox. THere's no stand-alone way to do the entire backup process on a computer?

The reason I did the softmod was so I would not have to crack open the Xbox, re the bigger HD.

if you want to backup to pc then FTP is the way
