Thanks for the info pirrup. That's why you go in to these forums for softmods and I try not to.
As far as chips, I have the Xenium Ice and used the solderless connector.
LOVE IT!
If you can solder, there are other chips out there too including a new one that costs like $10 called The Sunday chip that has been talking a lot on this board recently.

Unsure if it's too late for an eeprom but I don't know of many that can "give away" an eeprom.
Before you jump the gun, let some of these softmodders have time to look at this and see if any other suggestions come about.
If not, at least there is a way to recover so that it's not just a paper weight.
Yes with a chip and the Xbox-HQ auto installer... you'll be with the best of us in the chipped world.
That's the one that I know best. _________________ http://twitter.com/HQ_Shark2th

Is it a Xenium?
Perhaps it didn't work because the D0 was in the wrong place.
Hard to tell on some of the V1.4 & 1.5's which one is which as I recall.
Educate us on the chip and lets see what we can do to get ya gaming! _________________ http://twitter.com/HQ_Shark2th

The chip normally will say Xenium on it and it's white if it's the ice, blue if it's the prior make/model.
The solderless is the way to go with the 1.0 since you'd have to unsolder the pins which to me isn't worth the time. Besides, the damn things are so small, I'd light myself on fire. \
Take a look at the pictures of the Xenium at http://www.teamxodus.com/ _________________ http://twitter.com/HQ_Shark2th
