I got evo-x up and running with Splinter Cell. I then got AID 2.0 ISO burned and running with 2.01 patch. I wanted to try and patch the ms dash so I booted iso the choose the softmod + nk patcher. I went to restart the system with no discs and now I get Error 21. I can't get the iso disc to open nor any game without error 21 coming up. What can I do to fix this?

Follow-Up: After 20 boot up attempts I got Splinter Cell back up and re-installed Evo X. I am still confused on putting ms-dash in.
I tried figuring out the sticky topic:
1) Use my Softmod Installer Deluxe v2.0, tested on all different versions.
2) Make a backup of your C Drive by doing a MS Backup
3) Using the in-built file manager, delete ALL the files from C Drive. The reason we do this is because the softmod doesn't like old dashboards.
4) Install your softmod
5) Turn off your Xbox, and insert Auto-Installer Deluxe v1.01
6) Install the MS Dashboard from there, this is guarenteed to work with my softmod installer.
7) Go back and re-install your softmod, as installing the MS Dash previously wipes it
Cool Now, use the Patch MS 5960 option.

I am lost from step 5 forward as I have AID 2.1 and I don't see Patch MS5960 option. I see Install Dashboards with 5960. Very confused.

Im sure the AID 1.1 is an oversight- if it says Dash board with Patch MS 5960 then it should work, I softmod ALOT of box's but unfortunalty i only have AID 1.1 (thanks to lord sith for sending me the disc!! I dont have a DVD burner) So alot of the softmods i do are through Splinter Cell/Aid 1.1, or FTPing newer version of softwear to the xbox.
but back to your prob. I do think it will work, i dont see why not.

I am still confused so here is where I am at. If anyone has advice, please share.

I ran SID 2.0 and installed EVO-X through Splinter Cell Game. Evo-X is installed bare with no add-ons. I want to be able to use MS-DASH so I need to restore or re-install it???

I have AID 2.1 (already patched) I see two options regarding MS-DASH. Which steps do I take next now that I already have Evo-X running?

(1) SOFTMOD SECTION (3 Items)
(a) Softmod + NK Patcher
Boot MS Dash
Boot C, E, F, G Evoxdash.xbe
(b) Softmod + PBL
Boot MS Dashboard
With Tray Open
Without Tray Open
(c) Install Dashboards
Install C, E, F, G, Drive Dashboards

(2) INSTALL DASHBOARDS (2 Item)
(a) Install MS DASH 5960
(b) Install C, E, F, G, Drive Dashboards

1A. NKpatcher is the latest technology as far as Softmods go. Ofcourse make sure you boot the proper drive where evox is.

DJB thank you for the response and help. I want to confirm that I understand you correctly so I don't mess anything up.

I have EVO-X already installed at the C: Drive. You said I should run step 1A which is the SOFTMOD+NK PATCHER. Do I install this to C: where EVO-X is?

Thanks

The Softmod + MS dash installs at C and can't be changed, however where you can boot evox from can be C, E (F + G for bigger hdds). So, you'd want to install the NKpatcher booting C:\evoxdash.xbe.
