SO as you can see, stay away from +r's, they'll only give you headache. As far as the dummy files... don't worry about using them. Unless your xbox has trouble reading the disc when you burn without the dummy file. Sounds like a plan, I just need to get my hands onto a recordable DVD but if I want to add apps or emulators that arnt included on the AID 2.11 disk (not saying it dosnt have everything) just too know if I could install an app over FTP by its self. e.g. DVD2Xbox maybe redirct too another thread for further help. I searched the forum but the search feature for some reason dosnt know how to get specific =/

ur burin da cdr da wrong way ....burn it as iso/udf ... use nero or any burnin program BUT Falise da disc U MUST ....
So sorry guys its cuz i was using linksbooks on my xbox and controller typing is hard ...
what i ment was that hes burning the cd the wrong way hes has to make it as iso/udf on any burning program..

How did I burn it wrong? I used alcohol 120% there is a feature on there that you find the ISO (and all other type of image files) source and then it burns it onto the disk just like nero does unless I have to set it up in a more particulare way?

Personally i dont use alcohol and most of the guys here probably wont either.. I used to use alcohol for like psx backups.. lol
anyway, if you get a hold of a copy of either DVD Decrtyper or NERO you just burn to a DVD-R at the slowest possible speed until you find the media which will boot..
alcohol may work just fine too but i havent tested with it..
Maybe another member can give you some input.
just hang in there. Dont worry its just a media prob i would say.
Only burn to DVD-R until you find the right one.

When I used Alcohol, it didn't fail me. It, just like DVDDecrypter, will auto adjust the burn speed to compensate for any read errors from the iso. I, with Imation DVD-R's, always burn at Max speed with my cheap AOpen DVD DL burner. Works like a charm every time... I've probably had one bad burn since I got this monster and that was a fault of mine. As far as Nero and Clone DVD go, I'd go with Nero, especially if you're looking to copy from DVD to DVD (if you have a DVD reader, to a DVD Writer) it works very well "on the fly" as they call it.
Remember, no matter what file system you're burning (FatX --> NTFS) it all boils down to 1's and 0's, so that's why the "on the fly" feature works so well. IM GUESSIN U NEVER TRY'D CLONEDVD2 right?? nero sucks on makin backups of dvds.. lol.. try clonedvd2 b4 u judge.. fyi if u conpress dvds then u dont go on the fly...
it only goes on the fly when its gonna copy it 100% meaing no conpression

I use Alcohol 120 and it works exellent I also use nero burning rom corporate Edition (not for amatures) and they both are great but I still stick to alcohol 120 _________________
