Just take out the retail drive, install your new drive, then run SID 3. Bingo, halleluja. _________________ http://twitter.com/HQ_Shark2th

If I understand the softmod process... it's easier to do it that way than put in a new hd later. Hang on and let me sniff some old forum entries and lets see what I find. I haven't softmodded yet, so I may have to stand corrected. _________________ http://twitter.com/HQ_Shark2th

Softmods require locked HDDs. You would have to backup the eeprom of the new box. In order to do that it needs to be softmodded. No biggie though just back up the retail dash, save the eeprom info, and restore the disk to orig.
Then you can go ahead with the new HDD tutorial. _________________ Xenium Ice 2.3.1 OS

Woo Hoo Dangermouse to the rescue.
I have said it before and I'll say it again... I have got to stay out of the softmod forums. _________________ http://twitter.com/HQ_Shark2th
