ok,I installed my Softmod today using Krayzies UXE installer and splinter cell and everything seemed to be going fine,until i accidently double-clicked C in FlashFXP.It was lagging my pc so i tried to close the connection but i couldn't and i ended up closing FlashFXP.so,i tried to FTP my xbox again and i couldn't.this is what the log says;

anyone got any ideas?
edit:hmm....i wonder if Krayzies UXE installer has a "reinstall softmod" option...
edit:Ok,I can ping my xbox without any problems.so it's probably something to do with the xbox not liking FTP.
edit:is it bad when it says "Security: Lock Enabled" in the harddisk part of the settings?

so you can still boot the xbox fine and backup games i take it??
If you can still boot backups and your xbox then maybe the evox.ini file on your XBOX HDD C:\ partition has become corrupted.
You say you can ping the xbox.. Are you sure you didnt change the xbox username or password in the evox.ini??
Anyway, just trying to help with some more info for you.

i can definitly boot the xbox (i'm listening to music off it right now!) but i don't know about backing up games or playing backups.I didn't change the xbox username or password and i know that because i haven't even SEEN evox.ini .thanks for trying to help,you two did a lot more than the people at Xbox-scene.com did....
p.s. i'm going to install AID later on so i might be able to work out a way to replace evox.ini with the backup i made before all this happened (hey,i screwed with the menus in notepad on my old pc to see what i could do and it still works...) or i could just leave it...i'm thinking of getting a second xbox soon anyway and i'm waiting for a shitty old sun solaris server laptop to arrive...methinks i could use that to ftp to a new xbox...
edit:heh,and it can definitly play normal games...i just had a 1 hour frag session in unreal championship...
