Ok so i am a total n00b at this stuff since it is my first day with a softmodded xbox. ok i bought my xbox on ebay and had one before, but it was original.
What are the cool things i can do with the new xbox?
how would i transfer my game saves from my 1st to my 2nd xbox?
How do i use the DVD player? i cant get the other slider to open, but it says im able to even w/o the remote.
what do i do to temporarily "suspend" the use of my soft mod so i could also use Xbox live?
i had live on my other box, how do i get the profile to my new xbox?
my weather thing always says busy, how can i help that?

i'll be happy to help you out with your questions-
1.What are the cool things i can do with the new xbox?
Well- you can do LOTS OF KICK A$$ stuff- for example- play roms- Nintendo, Super Nintendo, Sega, N64, Game boy (color, Advance) are just some of the best examples. You can also save games to your hard drive (altough i wouldent reccomend doing it on a stock hard drive (thats the hard drive that comes with your xbox)
You can stream music and video from your computer right to your TV via xbox with Xbox Media Center!
Enjoy customizing your system with new back grounds and such.
Use Trainers on games (their like cheats and such)

There should be a program in your apps section called Dongle Free DVD player (you should have it if you used the SID packages to softmod your box- if not, PM me and i'll help you locate and install the program to your xbox.)

The only way im aware of this is to re-put the M$ dash (your orig. Dash that your xbox was set with for retail) back in your C drive, and removing all evidence from it (the C drive) That you ever had a hacked Dash.
I dont think having anything on your E drive (such as Roms, Apps) Will get you booted, it dident get me booted- i still Had some emulators and such, roms even- still on my Xbox when i decided to go back to live for a bit.
Also make sure you use your Original Hard drive, not an upgraded one.
5.i had live on my other box, how do i get the profile to my new xbox?
In your dash board (of your NEW UNMODDED XBOX) go to settings, and there should be a menu (if you have xbox live on your box) saying
"restore account"
you can move your Xbox live account from that xbox to the other, all you need to provide is your Gamertag, and the Credit card you used to suscribe to xbox live with. If you decided to Un-mod your old xbox- you couldent have that account on two xboxs, you would have to choose one or the other.

I'll assume your talking about Xbox Media Center. Make sure your interent connection is hooked up to your xbox, and make sure they are set onthe correct config (IP, DNS, Gateway, subnet ETC.)To set them, if your using Evox go to system settings, and you should be able to alter the connection info from there.
