I took my daughter and her friend to see that new 3D movie Shark Boy and Lava Girl... and the oscar goes to......NOT...
But, anyway, it got me thinking how cool would it be to make 3D websites so I started dicking around with photoshop...
Here's my first official 3D photo that I took with my measly 2.1 megapixel camera. I wanted to make it as big as possible for the site, but small enough to avoid the left and right scroll. So, I do apologize if there is any scrolling left or right, but I wanted to keep the effect and compressing the image keeps taking away from it.
You need the red/blue 3D glasses to get the full effect. For my pics the red lens would be on the left eye, not the right.
It's very cool how you do this. You have to take two photos. One from your left eye perspective, and one from the right. You make several layers gray scale a few of them, then mess with the RGB and get the layer the color you want and then trial and error starts. You have to move the layers around until your image is the way you want it.
It's cool though. I would love to make a 3D Xbox Site...that would be way sweet!
Better yet....XBOX-HQ IN 3D...LOL!!!
One draw back of making 3D photos... man did I have a frigging headache after sitting at the PC for an hour or so playing around..lol

Too much time on your hands of something mate.. hehehe lol
Im sure you could just get imaging software of somekind which will do it automatically for you but hell why not do it yourself like you have..

Yeah, I saw that there is software that can do it...but unless I pay for the full version it puts dots all over the darn thing...
I couldn't find any more, but I didn't spend much time looking either...
I only wish I had too much time on my hands... oh, how nice that would be. I made that picture at 4AM when I should have been sleeping...lol.
