ok someone please help me. i got a good xbox but a bad hard drive. i have another xbox with a good hard drive but bad mobo. i wanna take that hard drive and install it on the good xbox. now im sure youre farmiliar with hdd unlock codes. i have the unlock code for the new hdd. HOW DO I INSTALL THE NEW HDD SO IT WORKS WITH THE OTHER XBOX?

lol you know what i do? ... i would throw in a chip in with the good mobo and hdd ... and unlock the hard drive, then relock it simply with aid lol should work thats what i do. jw how did your mobo go bad? _________________ Blue Chaos

its not mine. it was unmoddded and just got f'ed up one day. ok i tried to take the good mobo and i put a chip on it, then i put the new hdd and tried to boot aid but it dont work. it just shows "unleashx has detected a new hard drive, format?" and it says it over and over again. and i cant unlock it with xenium cause the eeprom doesnt have that hdds unlock code. _________________ XBOX

I have that same problem with one of my harddrives!! and its pissing me off!! Does anyone know how to fix this "it just shows " 'unleashx has detected a new hard drive, format?' and it says it over and over again" ???? Cuase I'm stuck too. Do you think we could use Hard Drive Manager to unlock it? _________________ Blue Chaos

yea this really sucks. o well i guess ill just go ahead and buy a new drive unless someone has a solution or is willing to donate an hdd _________________ XBOX
