alright what is happening is that when i put in the disc i want to back up i lose the connection to my xbox . if anyone now what i have done wrong please help

When you put the game it autoloads and that stops you from having FTP so you have to go into the setting and turn off autoload game/dvd or whatever.

i got the ftp working and i can get the files off the games but im still having burning problems im using nero not sure which version it is like a pakage.

did you make the files into an ISO? to burn an image of the disk you will need all the files in ISO format. i use Qwix to ftp to D:/ and it creates an iso on my pc without having to first extract it all to my xbox's harddrive

yeah i made them into iso but i used flashfxp to get the files to my hd and then used qwix to make an iso. do i only make one iso or do i need to make several for each folder? im using nero star smartand i tried to burn image to disc but it would not burn it to a dvd only cd??

just 1 iso, lil shortcut is to use qwix and select FTP folder and select D:/ on the xbox. this will create an ISO directly from the dvd drive in the xbox without having to ftp folders across and all that jive

well an ISO is an image of the actual disk. the folders are all the files on the the disk obviously the iso image is for burning as it makes the disk seem to be an actual disk.what Qwix and other prgrams do is extract the files off theISO image. i don't know how else to explain it really hope that clarifies a little
