Alright i was trying to do a soft mod again and before unplugging the system from the bad install i forgot to reinstall the ms backup. But i left my modded xbox plugged in and the failed softmod one umplugged so now i am getting error 16. I'm not finding too much for cures so if any of you gurus can help heres what i got 2 xbox's one failed soft mod then other modded with dual boot bios. ONLY 1 POWER CABLE, and extra 120giger to go in the soft modded one.
Any ideas?

put small hd in the dual bios xbox and run autoinstaller delux and format for origional hard drive. try to put it back in the softmod and re-install softmod. you might have to put a dash in e:\dashboard (which might fix it anyways) just some ideas. it's a shot in the dark.
