Hey guys,
Is it possible to install a 400GB HDD into my xbox. I have a 250GB in it right now but I only have 20GB left. So, I decided to buy a 400GB. I have it sitting on my couch right now but I am not sure if I should even open it yet. Well, not until I find out if all 400 will be available.
If anyone knows if I can please post and let me know.

yes you can use the 400gb hdd. since you have a bios that supports over 137gb hdd all you need to do is format, partion , then install your dash. _________________ [RIP Radio]

I would keep an eye on the temp.
I put a large drive in a 1.0 that stayed fairly cool, but put it in a 1.6 box and the temp went to 206F! _________________ LED Rings $6 (doesnt include LEDs) LED ring pic

With a 400GB I would definitely be concerned about temp.
12v fan will do wondes.

I installed it earlier today and I have had it on for about 6.5 hours. Everything seems fine so far.
