What's up guys....Cheers for all of you...
I have a couple of questions for all you xbox experts...
I recently modded my xbox with an Aladdin XT for a v.1.6. I have a 160 gig HDD and I used the slayer disk to format it..
The problem is that it only show 127...I think...gigs available.. I know that if one wants for the xbox to read the whole 149 gigs, we need to flash the bios.
My question is what bios exactly do we use? Is it m8+ or M8_16?
And do we need to alter any solder point...I mean change or bridge any point for the flashing....can we do it through evox screen...
What program do we use to flash the alladdin xt?
Thanks in advance...
This forum is really cool......

Yes all you need to do is FTP the bios across to the C/Bios and then select bios from the menu in EvoX
Sorry for the text colored... I thought I was going to come out better...lol...
So you are saying to transfer the bios.bin file to C drive of the xbox and under bios folder put it inside, right?
"You select the bios from the menu" Sorry, I don't see this option anywhere in my dashboard...What program is it in ? Or is it in the rebuilding/formatting cd?
Thanks.....

Using EvoX, select Settings, then towards the bottom is Flash BIOS. If you put the new BIOs into the BIOs folder, it should appear in the list, just selct it..and FLASH.. Reboot your box for it to take effect.

The aladdin chips normally ship with a programmer.. So you can also flash your aladdin using the usb cable if you have one.
If you dont have one you can purchase one..
Evox will work fine and many other flashing tools..
