Admitedly, I am as wet behind the ears as it gets. I followed the directions from a website...

When i installed the spiderchip, it came up with the standard cromwell bios. I toggeld over to the flash bios from disc option, and put a xecuter2 bios (bios.bin) disc in the tray. it showed the flashing progress bar, and completed successfully. When it powered down and back up, the console started for about .5 seconds, shut off, tired it two more times, and on the third, stayed on with blinking green/red power.

I've done quite a bit of searching before posting this, so please don't flame me. I figure the bios either didn't flash correctly, or it was a bad copy. Either way, it appears I'm stuck with no workable bios on the chip. Are there any homemade fixes for the spiderchip to try to flash it again? I think I will have to wait till the new programer comes out before all said and done. Hopfully soon. Mad

It seems that I'm in the same situation and this is the only post that I have found to address this problem but no solution to rectify it. Does anyone have any suggestion as to go about this?

1) what version is your xbox?

2) what version is your spiderchip?

3) what size bios did you flash your chip with?

I suggest opening up the xbox because the chip could have become dislodged. The spiderchip was the first chip I ever tried to mod so I've been in the same position as you with the blinking lights more times than I care to even think about.

Ok, so my XBox is a 1.6 with a 1.1 spiderchip that I flashed with an Evolution X M8 Bios ver. 1.6. The connections are fine because when the modchip is off, the regular animation pops up and I can play my games. That and I glued the wires to the board so they wouldn't pop out. The size of the BIOS by the way was 227KB. Any ideas on how to go about reflashing the chip?

the only way you can flash it now is using a programer...i think spiderchip has one coming out soon...or it may be out already.

Anyone heard of where you can purchase one of these programmers yet? I have searched every distributor, with no luck.
