i just bought a softmodded xbox1 off ebay. i got it yesterday it worked great for about 2 hours, turned it off then back on about 30 mins later now i get the service prompt. the guy i bought it off of is trying to rip me off out of my refund. is there anything i can download to fix this? thanks

Patience is a virtue Im pretty much the only guy left for support so cant expect super fast response all the time.
I used to get the same thing with a Maxtor HDD I had. WOuld work fine then boom E7. 2 things I always did were 1)check the IDE cable make sure nice and tight. Half the time this would fix it. 2)Rebuild the HDD with AutoBuilder

You should also check to see that the jumpers are set correctly. I think the DVD drive should be master and the hard drive should be slave.
If you're still getting error 7 after checking to see if the cable is tightly connected you could always try another IDE cable if you have one laying around. That would remove the possibility of it being an IDE cable error. _________________
