I have wireless internet on my laptop, which i directly shared to the xbox via ethernet cable. I got it to work last night. i even checked the weather using xbmc. I didnt change any settings, but the next day i cant access the internet. I tried direct connection to router with dhcp and cant get internet at all on it. Anyone have any ideas on how to correct the problem?

Sounds like your router hasn't provided a IP Address.
You could fix this by maually setting your xbox with a IP ADDRESS in range of your router.
I would do this on your computer:
1. Choose "Start Menu"
2. Choose "run" and type "cmd" and press enter (without the "")
3. Type "ipconfig /all"
4. It will now list all your IP information including DNS.
Thanks a lot this helped me fix my LAN problem. I am going to try to fix the laptop internet sharing technique again. That is secondary though and you fixed the important problem so thanks again.
